Security cover for rail line construction sites in Manipur

Manipur deputy chief minister Gaikhangam has said elaborate security arrangements have been made along the railway track construction sites between Tupul near Imphal and Jiribam sub-division bordering Assam to ensure completion of the railway project in time.

To thwart frequent bandhs and blockades, which have consistently hampered the rail line construction, three new police stations will be set up at three points close to the track in Tamenglong district, said Gaikhanam, who also holds the home portfolio.
